The Budo Sports Club Adorf held the 6th Open Martial Arts Seminar in the sports park Rabenberg / Erzgebirge from 11 to 13 October 2019.
With 98 participants the seminar was very well attended and the participants from Saxony, Berlin, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Switzerland found perfect conditions to train.
After the journey and the evening meal all could train themselves the very good meal again with different sporty activities.
The presidency of the WJJF-Germany used this seminar for a presidency meeting. Here the course for the further development of the federation was set. Our Honorary President Syuseki Shihan Sieghard Weiß (9th Dan) assured us of his unrestricted support. This is shown by the fact that he makes his name and signature available on all new documents of the WJJF-Germany. Thus we can officially authorize and confirm all Dan graduations. Furthermore, we were able to adopt the new examination regulations, which are valid as of 01.01.2020. Danny Grießbach was appointed Team Leader North and Jörg Eisele Team Leader South for the instructors.
Under the direction of Shihan Ulrich Häßner (6th Dan), Vice President Sport, the seminar was opened on Saturday on time. Before all participants of Andreas Neldner (1st Dan Karate) started to sweat in a joyful warming, there was another very joyful event.
In the presence of our Honorary President Syuseki Shihan Sieghard Weiß (9th Dan) our President Shihan Richard Schmidt, the former Vice President Torsten Kosuch handed over the 7th Dan Ju-Jitsu of the WJJF-Germany. Torsten received this honour beside his professional competence, for his tireless acting and his loyalty for the WJJF-Germany. The Presidium and all participants congratulate him from the bottom of their hearts.
On the Tatami were the following reverents: Shihan Richard Schmidt (6th Dan, President of the WJJF-Germany), Francico Boadella (4th Dan, President of the WJJF-Switzerland), Shihan Torsten Kosuch (7th Dan), Shihan Ulrich Häßner (6th Dan, Vice President Sports), Instructor Danny Grießbach (4th Dan), Team Leader Nord Maik Gräfe (4th Dan Aikikai) and Peter Schmidt (Submission Grappling) and provided interesting and entertaining training sessions. Also Steffen Lingslebe (4th Dan, Vice-President-Administration) was on the Tatami and supported the referents.
Before the first seminar day was over and some participants had a rest in the sauna and the indoor swimming pool, there was a very emotional moment.
All the Budokas were standing around the Tatami and the presidium had a very nice task.
When Richard Schmidt called the name of Claudia Enderlein (Dojo Shugyo Neuwürschnitz), it became very quiet. Actually he wanted to give a long speech, but when Claudia heard what it was about, she burst into tears. So it became short and sweet. The honorary president Sieghard Weiß and the presidency of the WJJF-Germany awarded Claudia the 1st Dan Ju-Jitsu because of her professional skills. This Dan-Grad was awarded without examination, because Claudia remained faithful to the WJJF despite a serious illness and trains every week to improve her skills. This award is an appreciation for a budo fighter who has dedicated her whole heart to this sport.
For a sport buddy and his Uke it went then once again on the mat, which it stood still another examination to the 2nd Dan Ju-Jitsu on. Ingo Krause from SC Vierkirchen faced this task and was able to convince the examination committee. In the end he was happy about the certificate for the 2nd Dan Ju-Jitsu.
On Saturday evening all participants met in the cinema hall for a cosy evening. In addition to good music that encouraged dancing, many interesting conversations were of course held, for some, it took till morning.
But, Budokas are tough dogs and stood all on Sunday again on the Tatami to "survive" the last unit.
